A Few Grooming Tips:
Getting your new puppy to the groomer while they are young is always best. Even if it's just for a nail trimming or a little sprucing up, starting them at an early age allows them to get to know their groomer and helps them to understand that a trip to the groomers can be a positive thing. Although we try to make every pet's grooming experience a pleasant one, some animals are shy or timid and others are afraid. Starting them at an early age can make the trip to the groomer a lot easier for everyone.
When you drop your pet off at the groom shop, try to have a "cheerful" voice with your pet, even if you know they may be nervous. Your pet is sensitive to your emotions and can easily pick up on your feelings.
Please remember to inform your groomer of any medical or skin conditions your pet may have. If your pet is older, don't hesitate to let your groomer know about any stiff joints and arthritis conditions. And please let the groomer know if your pet is not all that fond of being groomed and has been uncooperative in the past (biting.. etc.). The more we know about your pet, the better we can accommodate their needs and make the whole grooming experience a pleasant one!
Keep in mind that during the summer months and around holidays, the grooming department becomes extremely busy, so it's always a good idea to make your grooming appointment well in advance!
Talk to the Groomer about scheduling your future appointments in advance! It's always best to keep your furry friend on a regular grooming schedule.
